While there are numerous types of mistakes that are made in this field, a particular five pop up so frequently and are so annoying that, they have landed themselves a spot in this article.
1. Lack of content
This one just takes the cake of worst web design mistake ever! For crying out loud, why should you go through the trouble of designing a beautiful website and paying for hosting when there is nothing of importance being said in there?
So many business websites lack sufficient business information. In numerous cases, companies that do not state the prices of their products or services on their site and do not give any contact information so that an interested buyer can find them are simply not serious.
To avoid this, it is important that even before you think about embarking on the web design to have all the information that needs to be passed across in mind. There are certain expectations attached to every industry. Restaurant websites for instance should include a menu. Find out these expectations and meet them.
On the flip side, kindly do not go overboard with the information you give, no one really wants to read irrelevant long stories. Just stick to the basics and ensure your visitors find what they were looking for in your site.
